Probably the best Puerto Rican restaurant I've been to and I've been to all of them from Tampa to Orlando. Has the 5 star foods, and grandmas cooking.

If your not Puerto Rican and don't know what to get I recommend the half chicken with Arroz con Gandules or the pesto Alfredo.

A very nice, small (& clean) restaurant. We had excellent service today by a friendly & helpful young woman (Mariana V.) who eventually had too many tables to handle (& no other full time wait staff to assist her).

My Seafood Combination entree was very good, but at $18 I couldn't taste much in the way of conch. There was enough shrimp & octopus. However, the serving size (quantity of all the seafood) seemed small to me even though it's about four meals for someone like I who eats very little at a time. The entree included no starch (rice, noodles, potato, etc); I doubt there was not enough food on the plate for most diners. The garlic sauce it was cooked in was very good; a red sauce is also available. I chose the sweet plantains as my side-- they were very good. (See pic.)

My date's Whole Red Snapper entree over yellow rice was also very good ($20.). The fish is advertised as between 1 - 1.5 lbs. Plantains were the chosen side. (See pic.)

Our Crab Empanadas ($9 appetizer) was quite good as well, although we tasted more crust than filling. The non spicy thick garlic sauce that accompanied it was great! (See pic.)

Definitely a quality Latin restaurant located in an updated strip mall beside busy HWY 98.

There are six tables in this cozy restaurant. And there's a bench beside the front door that seats just four-- for waiting. The owner (who didn't introduce himself to us) split his time between helping the one waitress & assisting in the kitchen. Another server would have been appreciated. We had to wait too long to get our bill and then to have it picked up from our table.

Won't hesitate to return when in the area again-- lots of great offerings on the menu!

File this under: places I would never find if it wasn't for Yelp. We aren't in Lakeland too often, but wanted to eat something a little different than our typical restaurant rotation.

Between two people, we ordered the tripleta sandwich with a side of mofongo and the pastelon de amarillos. The tripleta has probably one of the most tantalizing flavors I've had in a sandwich (perhaps it's the aioli?) and the meat was nice and tender. What caught me off guard was how addictive the mofongo was! Something about the consistency, texture, and flavor didn't allow me to stop eating it!

Looking forward to coming back in the near future!

Was expecting much more. I got the mofongo with the ropa vieja. Everything needed salt. I guess since some previous reviews said the food was too salty. Well the chef listened. ** Some salt and garlic in the mofongo would of made a difference.

The ajillo sauce for the tostones. Listen I don't know what they gave me. I just know I tasted no garlic. When I looked into the sauce I saw onions. I was confused.

Presentation: a 10 of a 10. The chef knows how to "Wow" them plates up.

If you want descent food, expectations are not high, and want to instagram a food plate. Then this is your place.

Decided to give this place a try and I'm glad I did. It's a small place located in a strip mall but don't let that discourage you from coming here. Waitress here was very nice and helpful and the food was amazing. I got the chicken cordon blue which was so good. Definitely a great place for a date night or just to stop by for lunch.
